In order to avoid additional charges, businesses should respond promptly and minimize the number of sessions they open beyond the 24-hour window.

Template messages incur a charge unless they are sent in an open conversation. Multiple templates of the same category in an open conversation will not add charges.
Utilize free entry points
Your customers will not be charged for conversations if they use call-to-action buttons on your ads that link to WhatsApp or Facebook pages. In the 72 hours following the start of a free entry-point conversation, no other conversation category will be opened, regardless of how many templates of different categories you send.
